THE BELL HILL BEAUTY
Sequim, WA

This spacious water-view home atop Sequim’s Bell Hill hadn’t been updated since it was built more than 30 years ago, in 1990. We stripped everything down to the walls and thoroughly modernized the entire house with all new flooring, cabinetry, doors, fixtures, and exterior landscaping.

In the kitchen, the floors and cabinets are walnut, topped with low-maintenance quartz countertops and a seamless porcelain slab backsplash. Appliances include a 42-inch built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator, refrigerator drawers to keep produce handy for meal prep, a beverage fridge, a steam oven, a flush ceiling-mounted vent hood, and a built-in Miele coffee system.

The porcelain slabs continue in the primary bathroom, covering the walls and floors and even the ceiling of the new steam shower. A wall-hung toilet and a floating walnut vanity with integrated sinks keep the floors clear for easy cleaning. Slabs of semi-precious stones at the backs of the niches glow with backlighting to show off their beautiful translucency.
