How We Can Help You
As a full-service design firm, CanCan Interiors can help with any project, large or small, from a simple paint and color consultation to a whole-house remodel. We also work on custom new-build projects, home additions, ADUs/DADUs, and exterior living spaces. Our specialty is creative space-planning to maximize the function of your home, whether it’s by moving walls and reimagining how each room gets used, or just improving the efficiency of a space within the existing footprint.
The Design Process
Once you reach out to us, our first step will be a quick phone call to discuss your project, your budget, and any questions or concerns you might have.
If the project seems like a good fit for our services, we’ll schedule a free consultation in your home, so we can see the space, get to know a little about you, and discuss your goals with you in more detail.
From there, we’ll write up a detailed proposal with a list of services we’ll provide, plus our design costs. Depending on the project, we’ll either offer a flat fee to cover the entire design process, or an hourly rate for more flexibility. In either case, we’ll ask for a retainer or initial installment payment to begin the project, with the remainder to be billed monthly.
Once the paperwork is out of the way, we’ll roll up our sleeves and get started! The process will be tailored to your needs and preferences, so the finished space is truly a reflection of your unique personal style and not a generic, cookie-cutter design.

Concept Development:
This is where we work with you to determine your likes and dislikes, as well as your vision and your functional requirements for the spaces to be remodeled.

Design Development:
After measuring the existing spaces, we start working on any construction drawings we need to map out exactly what we can do with the space, from rough concepts to finished designs.

Finishes and Materials:
This is the shopping phase! Depending on your preferences, we’ll either take you to our favorite showrooms or share with you curated samples of everything needed to complete your project, including cabinetry, flooring, hard surfaces (tile, countertops, etc.), plumbing, lighting, furniture, window treatments, hardware, and more.

Project Management:
Whether we set you up with our trusted contractors or work with contractors of your choosing, we’ll maintain a consistent flow of communication to ensure that the project gets completed to our standards. We always provide a full set of construction drawings to show the details of what we’re envisioning, as well as a comprehensive specification document listing the products to be used and the procedures to be followed. Our goal is to ensure that every person who steps on the job site has a clear picture of what we want done.
